FOLIZER

Unique Foliar Fertilizer Formula that Effectively Delivers Nutrients that are Difficult For Roots to Absorb

Background Knowledge

  • Several factors contribute to poor nutrient uptake and nutrient utilization
    • The root system of crops and plants in the seedling stage is not fully developed
    • Changes in weather cause leaching and/or fixation of fertilizer
  • Studies show that:
    • It takes about 10 minutes for nutrients to be absorbed by leaves and enter into mesophyll cells; the nutrients then become available for use in a few hours
    • It takes four to five days for nutrients to be absorbed by roots and become available for use
  • Partially replacing traditional fertilizer with foliar fertilizer not only reduces nutrients wasted via leaching, evaporation and denitrification, but also mitigates salination of soil
  • One of the active ingredients of FOLIZER is fermentation broth of Lactobacillus, which is rich in amino acids
    • Amino acid supplementation improves the quality of both chlorophyl and enzymes beneficial for photosynthesis

Product Features

  • Nutrients are more readily absorbed by leaves than by roots:
    • Reduces damage to plants caused by salination of soil
    • Results in healthier leaves, which are less susceptible to damage caused by rain
  • Promotes the formation of chlorophyll, and therefore enhances the rate of photosynthesis
  • Results in more stress-resistant plants

Mode of Action

  • Through foliar application, nutrients enter the mesophyll tissues directly through epidermal cells and stomata
  • Nutrient particles enter epidermal cells through the gaps in the plasma membrane as well as the external threads known as ectodesmata
  • Stomata not only allow gaseous particles such as CO2 and SO2 to enter plant tissues, but also allow nutrients in their ionic states to diffuse through the pores and be absorbed by nearby mesophyll cells
